When a dressage judge hits you in the feels!

Yesterday a dressage judge hit me in the feels. For once, not due to a bad score in what my friend Christa calls “the rectangle of judgement” 😂🐴

Nope instead because they saw through everything else and understood what my horse means to me. We were in a test riding clinic and did a warm up training session with Josephine Delahoyde and a test practice with Bernie Webb

When Bernie was giving me feedback as part of it she said “he really loves you and we can see that” 🥹 I don’t think there’s a nicer thing someone could have said about him. He’s my heart ❤️ horse, my best friend, my therapist and my entertainer. He’s doing dressage and trying his best as I ask him to. When I ask right we get it right and when I ask wrong (often) he forgives and continues.

We are heading to the UK next week for area festivals which is pretty exciterrifying! We will take part in the medium class and medium freestyle so being able to work through the BD test was great as it’s one of the new ones so I’m still getting to grips with it.

Half way through my test I realised I hadn’t clipped my ear piece to my helmet strap as well as I though and I’ve tiny ears so it escape and took a wander down his shoulder 😱 Sammy gave zero fooks so I picked it up and rode with it as a third rein 😂

Thanks Lynn for all the organising!
