Things No Horse Owner Has Said, Ever

“Ah sure one horse is more than enough for me”

“I was too busy cleaning the house to go up to the horse”

“Why would I need more than one habit I can only wear one at a time anyway”

“No, really, I don’t need another saddle cloth / rug / bridle / saddle / set of boots”

“I decided to put back the saddle cloth / rug / bridle / saddle / boots and buy something for myself instead”

“Maybe I should get my own back and teeth looked at this month just to check I am able to perform at my best”

“I wonder if I need  joint supplement”

“My GP bill was very reasonable compared to my last vet bill”

“I wonder if I will be warm enough outside today or if I need another jacket “

“It’s only 20% off there is no need for me to go to the tack store”

“I really should ensure that I have a balanced healthy diet and am eating the right food for my work load. “

“I wonder how much protein is in this lunch and if it will overheat me”

“I wonder if I am copper deficient”

“I decided not to head to the show and spent the day at home instead cooking and cleaning”

“Wow that’s an extortionate price to pay for a horse supplement I wonder if I really need it”

“I think I have done enough clinics / shows / lessons this season”

“Does it really matter if things don’t match?”

“If I saved up the money I am spending on shows I could buy  heating oil and afford not to live on noodles and haribo the week before pay day”

“No, it really doesn’t need to be custom made”

“I didn’t have time to groom the horse but I brushed my own hair”

“oh yes I bought myself a great shampoo for my hair it was only fifteen euro”

“What’s a hip flask?”

“I should check my legs over after all that exercise and take some electrolytes”

“My car and I really smell of horses”

“It was too wet / dark / cold to go up to the yard”

“I went up and rode the horse and was back in an hour”

  2. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
